PCN Solutions
DeCyst™
DeCyst™ is a commercially proven trap crop for the control of Potato Cyst Nematode (PCN).
Produce Solutions trap crops, DeCyst™ Prickly and DeCyst™ Broadleaf, are effective tools for the reduction of potato cyst nematodes (PCN) Globodera pallida and Globodera rostochiensis. A well-established crop of DeCyst™ can reduce populations by up to 80%.
DeCyst™ trap crops produce similar root exudates to a potato crop and so stimulate PCN eggs to hatch in the soil.
DeCyst™ has an innate resistance to PCN and therefore doesn’t allow it to multiply, which means it can be used effectively to reduce PCN populations.
